Daiman’s Shop

Daiman Chipwaila was trained in woodcarving and other crafts at the Mua Mission. His speciality is well made, detailed wooden models of Landrovers, VW beetle cars and bicycles. Other items on offer are masks, figures and bangles and necklaces.

The stall is about 0.5km up the dirt road to the Dedza Pottery, alongside the Molima Family Home.

Daiman has constructed a lathe from bicycle parts that he uses for wood turning.

The stall is open from 6.00 to 18.00 every day (opens later on Sundays).
